After a Friday at St Osyth and a Saturday at Leysdown, Sunday dawned a little cooler and very much cloudier than was expected. On our way back home we called into my mums in Brentwood before arriving home around 4pm.For us, Sunday nights twice a month are taken up with the Prested Hall naturist swim, which takes place just outside Feering along the A12, heading towards Colchester.
Prested Hall with its approach, down a long, tree-shaded drive is lovely. With 15th-century origins, this part-moated manor stands within extensive parkland with an orchard and organic vegetable and fruit gardens. It has a period interior and, unusually, two real tennis courts. It also has a first class health centre including a large pool, steam room and sauna as well as a lounge area with a restaurant and bar and on these occasions, it goes naturist for 3 hours from 6 to 9 every 2nd and 4th Sunday evening. For naturists like us it’s nice to have use of first class facility without the restriction of our clothes and it’s also nice that its warm and comfortable during those cold winter months. To be honest it laughable when you hear about people using saunas and steam rooms elsewhere and having to wear swimming costumes what prudes they are. After a swim, sauna and steam session it’s nice to relax naked over a coffee or even a meal before heading of home at the end of the evening. Swimming Pools and Spa’s nationwide should be up for naturist’s session on a regular basis and not succumb to the people who complain or boycott centres just because people use facilities properly and use them in the nude.
