Yes I know its been ages since my last post, but guess what !!!!…on the whole the weathers been nice to us,so we’ve been out relaxing at Arcadians and sunning ourselves whenever we get the chance. The Cabin,Chalet,Shed has done us proud,so after we fixed the roof and with the aid of a gas heater, we’ve kept the chill away even on the colder evening before we turn in.We still tend to wake up early though and it was just recently on a rather crisp frosty May morning, I went crunching across the lawn dressed only in a pair of flip flops.
Not much else to report apart from a trip made to Spielplatz, for their open weekend where we managed to borrow a tent and stayed for the night, after of course sampling the local brews and listening to some saucy ukelalie tunes from the weekend entertainer Chris Myers.
Getting out and about made us realise how nice it is visiting other naturist venues too, so we’ve decided to get out and about again very soon. I had to tax and insure the van again, but all being well we hopefully hope to start our travels again by visiting Diogenes on their “family and friends” day and camp for the weekend at the end of June.
During the last few weeks the whole of Europe has been in turmoil before and after the Local and European elections. After the “economic down times” of the past 6 years, many of the countries in Europe are experiencing or have experienced such hard times, the result of this has seen a lot of people move around and change from country to country.I can understand that people are experiencing hard times in some parts of Europe…especially the eastern ‘former soviet block’ countries of Romania,Poland,Bulgaria, as well as Greece,Spain and Portugal, I do however think that mass migration is not the answer.
It was this, that a lot of people voted against in the elections and people complained that mass migration causes a lack of jobs for the nationals of those countries they invade and also drives down wages. People went out to vote and probably voted in protest over many things but people in general in England are so disheartens by the lack of new ideas offered by the big three, that many decided to vote for alternatives. Me, I focused my views on the Parties I think, have the policies I myself can believe in, so after lots of thought I decided it was the Green Party.
They probably will never in my life time, form a government in this country, but we as civilised people, cannot just keep taking. Also,I can’t understand why people shut clothing factories here, only to use precious fossil fuels, bringing goods just the same, halfway across the world just for profit.
Their values are good and they say :
” We live in unsettling times”
Many of the securities that our parents and grandparents fought for – a functioning National Health Service, free education, and an affordable home – now look out of reach for most of us.Coupled with this, climate change is bringing unpredictable and threatening weather patterns. People feel let down by politicians, and yet there has been an explosion in political activism. People want to do things differently and aren’t afraid to be bold and challenging.
We believe that public services should be for the benefit of the public, not sold off in bits; we believe that education is worth investing in and not something that should mean a lifetime of debt; we believe in leaving behind a better world for our children and grandchildren. This is the only world we have and its welfare, above all things, should be the highest priority for us all.Politics should work for the benefit of all, not just those who shout the loudest or have the deepest pockets.
We believe in “The Common Good”……A vote for the Green Party is a vote for “The Common Good.”
All in all they stick up for the kind of things I believe in. I also stick up for ‘naturist ideals’ too ( “no I’d have never guessed” …I hear you say).Even so not one party has anything like these ‘ideals’ in their policies, maybe if they were, naturist people would vote for them and support for these parties would grow. As for me, for now, I am putting my support behind the Green Party and in future all these arguing Tories, New Labour, Liberal Democrats and the other monster raving loony parties, can keep on arguing (between themselves) as I’m not listening to them any more !
Naturist Ideals (from Wikipedia)
Individuals have formed naturist groups for a variety of specific purposes. It is generally agreed by naturist organisations that eroticism and blatant sexuality have no place in naturism and are, in fact, antithetical to its ideals. Reason’s that have at times been given to promote naturist ideals are :
- Ecological or environmental — rapport with the natural world.
- Health — bathing in the sun, fresh air and water (balneotherapy, thalassotherapy, heliotherapy).Sun is a form of medicine.
- Diet — Naturism has at times been associated with claims made for moderation with alcohol, meat, tobacco, drugs; leading to a Teetotal, Vegetarian or Vegan lifestyle.
- Rapport with other humans — equality and respect. Being nude in groups makes all feel more accepted — physically, intellectually and emotionally.
- Spirituality — man is no more than an animal.
- Pedagogy — children should be respected as equals instead of being patronised
- Equality — clothes build social barriers. Social nudity leads to acceptance in spite of differences in age, body shape, fitness, and health.
- Liberty — no one has the right to tell others or their children that they must wear clothes.
“What’s all the fuss about….under our clothes we all look the same”
