March is well and truly here and finally the sun has been shining, we’ve still had a little rain but hopefully the worst is over. After seeing out February with a night at the pub, we popped out on Saturday and bought some paint which luckily I saw (on offer at a good price), while taking a stroll on Friday afternoon. Naturists have a liking for nature and wildlife too, so we also bought some bird seed and also ‘fat balls’….can’t imagine what must be in them.
According to weather forecasts in the newspapers today, snow is expected to fall over large parts of the country tonight heralding a cold March followed by an early summer from Easter. The Met Office has issued a yellow severe weather warning of snow and ice from 6pm today….”brrrrr”, today is officially the first day of spring. A colder than average March is expected to follow with cold snaps before warmer weather arrives by Easter Sunday.Longer-range forecasts predict early April could see the start of sunshine and temperatures up to an above average 21C at Easter.Sun seekers could even be basking in hotter weather than Spain at 27c, according to forecasters. Who knows what is to come…this is Britain.
“Wood Walks and Beach visits…..on the other hand we might have snow “
After a wet winter we had a look in the ‘Cabinchaletshed’ and thankfully saw no signs inside of water leaks, mould or vermin, so dropped off the supplies and went home. Looking at the forecast for next weekend we might actually be able to get out of town and maybe start redecorating as the temperature is set to rise to 15c.
The paint we’ve decided on to complement the outside of the ‘Green House’ is lime green for the walls and stone for the ceiling. Bright maybe, but I like to be different and anyway I hate beige.
I’m hoping also that I’ll be able to get some early spring shots of the wildlife around the club and also maybe some shots of the star trails as where the club is, is away from the town and doesn’t suffer from too much light pollution.
