As naturist weekends go the BN Alton Towers Splash Landings one is one of the very best, its just a shame they don’t happen more often. We left home early, after a trip to get supplies at around 11am, on a day blessed with glorious sunshine in places. Ginny drove which was nice as I could admire the countryside as we passed by it.After a delay on the M25 near St. Albans, we headed up the M1 before turning onto the A50 at the Castle Donnington junction, just passed Leicester.
As a night in the bar was expected,we decided a big lunch was in order, before arriving at Alton Towers just after 3pm. Check in at the desk was quick and simple and soon after we had put our things in our room and headed back to Ma Garritas (the bar area). If anyone reading this was there,I was the one wearing the Na’tur’ist t-shirt. Clothes off time wasn’t till 6 so we chatted…met up with friends we’d seen at Broadlands in August, then headed back to our room to deposit our clothes as the naked hour approached. For anyone reading this and thinking about trying naturism or even thinking they could never do it, going naked in a hotel (or anywhere infact) isn’t half as bad as you think.
Naturism is about comfort after all and no one stares, judges (not even the staff) or even passes comments. We made our way along the corridor and got in the lift upto level 3 accompanied by the theme to “Captain Pugwash” as the lift rose. We found our seat with our other club members (there were eight of us Arcadians) and settled down for the evening. Guinness was my evening tipple after starting on the Budweiser and the evening progressed merrily with the entertainment provided. Unfortunately the naked comedian Miss Glory Pearl, didn’t seem to go down that well, I suppose it was the innuendoes about the naked body, that us naturally naked people never found funny.
Entertainment: Miss Glory Pearl(Friday) and Richard Headingly(Saturday)
We did though have a good evening which only finished when the bar closed at 1am. Morning dawned all to soon, but as breakfast was included we had to indulged and traipsed off, still naked to the restaurant. We both had a full English breakfast fuelling ourselves for our excursions on the water slides in the water park. The Splash resort called ‘Cariba Creek’ has five water slides. The best being the ‘Master Blaster’ is an amazing ride with a blasts of water up and down twisting and turning you around the whole Waterpark at breathtaking speed.
We then rode the slides down to the splashdown pool on ‘Rush ‘n’ Rampage’. After that we took a naked trip outside on the ‘Flash Floods’ the Outdoor Flume Adventure. The slides deposit you into the warm waters of the bubbling waters ‘Bubbly Wubbly Pool’ and soothe you as the steam rises outdoors. Or you can head inside to the bubbling waters of ‘Volcano Springs’, which is wonderful if its cold outside.
There were people of all ages riding the slides and for the children there were play areas too. Some headed to the wonderful ‘Wacky Waterworks Tree Hous’e with its water cannons, buckets, pull ropes and water wheels!
Others listened out for the ringing bell as 1000 litres of cascaded over the roof drenching all. The small ones
paddled and slid in the ‘Little Leak’ area the shallow pool just for the little ones! All in all the water park was naked fun for all, from the family grandparents to the very youngest.
With our fun had for the day we returned to our room for a brief rest, before returning to the restaurant for our evening meal. Mine consisted of a curry ‘Pork Madras’ and nan bread and very nice it was too. I then followed it up with pudding washed down with a pint of Bud. We then adjourned to Ma Garittas for the evenings entertainment. After a very late night the night before and with Ginny having a bad back we decided to forgo the entertainment and the booze and headed off for a early night.
Sunday this year didn’t ‘dawn bright’ but after a hearty breakfast we checked out at 10, before heading once more to the waterpark for the final two hours of naked fun.I had one more go on the ‘Master Blaster’ and both the ‘Rush’n’Rampage’ slides, before everyone congregated by and in the tree house, for the usual big group photo, which hopefully will appear in a future BN magazine. Then it was time for the saddest part of the weekend ‘Clothes on’ and the long drive home.
Everyone had a wonderful time and after a few blips last year, the Alton Towers Splash Landings management and staff can be congratulated on holding once again a first class naturist event. Despite people’s reservations (or should I say more their own self doubts) naturism still is a wonderfully liberating comfortable freeing lifestyle and hopefully now other leisure facilities will see the money making possibilities and open up their venues to naturists willing to splash their cash. We arrived home at 3 having enjoyed a excellent weekend.

British Naturism’s trip to Alton Towers Hotel and Water Park sounds like a great time. I wonder if a US water park would ever allow that kind of event m
Sorry I didn’t meet you, but a true and reflective view of a brilliant weekend at Alton Towers. Thank you, Kind regards, Tony
