  1. Stephen is an eloquent man, as I found out when I wrote to him in August last yr when he was in a jail in Edinburgh and I got a wonderful 3 page letter back, detailing his argument that there is nothing indecent or shameful about the body, and the beliefs that exist have no basis in reason/truth. An analogy he used is that “your with friends and family in the woods and suddenly you come across a big juicy worm on the path, everyone runs or recoils from it for fear of thinking it’s a snake or because they have conditioned to be afraid of worms but what would a reasonable person do? Would they act in the same way or ask questions of the reality they are facing in order to ascertain what the truth is? ”
He is simply asking the question, why are we afraid of the unclothed body. Now he is prison for breaching the terms of his unfair, contrived asbo! Take care Stephen!

    • I haven’t met or wrote to him but I do stick up for his rights. I probably wouldn’t walk naked down the high street but I would like to walk naked freely in the countryside and if its not illegal why can’t I ?

  2. Just a quick point, as the nice picture background seems to make the comments diff to read praps altering the text to yellow bold may make them easier to read all the best!

    • I know I’m trying to find a template that’s better but it takes so long fiddling around with it so it looks ok I haven’t bothered yet lol

  3. Reblogged this on View from a grassey knoll and commented:
Here in Queensland, from what I can research, public nudity is typically prosecuted under indecent behaviour laws*. So a quiet hour in your backyard to water the plants can be deemed indecent behaviour. A swim in the pool with a few friends can be deemed indecent behaviour and like our English friend, a walk across the country can be deemed indecent behaviour. No sexual activity needs to be performed for indecent behaviour to be asserted. Strange how a simple everyday activity can be qualified this way but so much sexual innuendo in TV advertising is released and gobbled up by the masses.

*I am ready to stand corrected by any Queensland law expert or Police officer on this ruling (you know who you are)

  4. best of luck to the Naked Rambler! Hopefully he will manage to change the laws and attitude. It’s such a shame he doesn’t get much support!

    • There’s a fair few of us on the Facebook group but walking around town naked is more a personal choice for most rather than a necessity

      • there is no necessity in walking around town clothed either, unless it’s freezing cold. It is a basic human right to be the way you are born

  5. Hey there fantastic website! Does running a blog such as this
take a massive amount work? I’ve absolutely no expertise in coding but I was hoping
to start my own blog soon. Anyways, if you have any ideas or
techniques for new blog owners please share. I know this is off subject nevertheless
I simply wanted to ask. Thank you!

    • No its straightforward as on WordPress you just fill in the boxes. All you need to do is make sure you’ve got enough to say and write about.
